Living an outside-the-box life and sharing the journey…

An Atypical life you say? What do you mean, what have you done?
I’m glad you asked!
I grew up in Syracuse, NY, in the 70’s and 80’s in the Grassroots/ Dandelion collective. An atypical upbringing to be sure.
In the 1990s I moved to Los Angeles to be a rock star and attended Musician’s Institute [rock n roll school]. I actively played music, performed, and wrote songs for about 30 years.
I moved to NC to raise a family in the 2000’s, continued playing music, and also started a carpentry business, which I ran for 12 years.
After deciding to take a break from music, I had a 7 year career as a folk artist, making things out of salvaged and reclaimed materials.
Somewhere in that period around 2017, I built a tiny house and moved into the woods, in the country, by a creek, near the Eno River.
When covid hit and I couldn’t do art shows anymore, I started a real estate investing business, which has grown to a team of 7 or 8 now, doing 45-50 deals in the past couple of years.
Lots of twists and turns, and there’s more, including bio-hacking and anti-aging practices, pickleball, golf, amazing canine companions, travel across the US and Europe, running a vegan bakery, and devouring books and podcasts as a lifetime learner.
I’m going to randomly blog about this stuff as the spirit moves me and if you connect with the posts, let me know, and let me know what you’d like to hear more of.
